Arsenal, Real Madrid Close to £30m Permanent deal for Odegaard

Arsenal and Real Madrid are very close to reaching an agreement for the transfer of Martin Odegaard.

The Gunners opened talks with the LaLiga giants earlier in the summer over a permanent deal, following Odegaard’s six-month loan at the Emirates.

Hands are about to be shaken on a deal worth in the region of £30million (€35m).

Odegaard was absent from Real Madrid’s training session on Wednesday, while the final point of the deal was being discussed.

The Norwegian playmaker could feature in Arsenal’s game against London rivals, Chelsea on Sunday.

Arteta’s move to bring Odegaard back, signals an end in their interest in Leicester City midfielder, James Maddison.

The Gunners have failed to bring down the £60m asking price the Foxes put on Maddison.
