Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira could yet return to Lazio.
Corriere dello Sport says a return to the Italian side, despite an inconsistent spell in Rome last season, may still be on the cards.
The door may be open for another loan in Rome, with Maurizio Sarri's imminent arrival potentially giving him a new chance to impress.
Lazio won't utilise the option they have for a permanent transfer but a temporary deal could work for all parties.
Pereira has also been linked with Club Brugge for the summer market.
