England Fans Were Already Sat In The Pub At 7am Ahead Of Germany Game

England fans were spotted filling the pubs in the early hours of Tuesday morning as they prepare to watch their side in the European Championship round of 16 tie, with some even turning at their local boozer at 7am.

The Three Lions will face Germany at Wembley later today as Gareth Southgate's side look to progress into the quarter-final stages of the competition after topping Group D with wins against Croatia and Czech Republic.

And ten hours before kick-off, a number of keen supporters arrived at a pub in Sheffield with football on their mind.

ITV show Good Morning Britain spoke to a number of fans in the beer garden, including Adam, the landlord of the pub.

"We've had people visiting all over the country just to take a selfie in front of the place," he said. "This is the big one tonight. There will be a full house inside. There's plenty of seats available in the beer garden so if you want a good atmosphere, this is the place to be."

England fans are something else, aren't they? Earlier this month, a brave supporter pranked his Welsh girlfriend by decorating their entire house ahead of this summer's European Championship.

Dave Jones, 36, from Hereford, has been embroiled in a nation vs nation rivalry with his partner for a number of years.

Ashleigh, who is originally from Brecon, will often display a Wales flag in their home when the Dragons play rugby, so he decided to get his own back with a shrine to Gareth Southgate's side before their Group D opener against Croatia.

As his girlfriend was working away from their home in Credenhill, a mischievous Dave spent two hours decorating the house with flags and cardboard cutouts of Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden.

After a long day at work, she arrived home to a sea of red and white.

"She wasn't best pleased at the start," Jones tells SPORTbible. "But now she has seen the funny side of it all. Thankfully I'm still allowed to be in the house!"
