Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew, will leave Swansea City when his contract expires at the end of this month, the club has confirmed.

“Andre Ayew, Kieron Freeman, Declan John and Barrie McKay have seen their contracts come to an end and will depart the Liberty Stadium,” the club said in a statement on Friday morning.

Ayew’s time at the Liberty Stadium has come to a close after 141 appearances over two stints and scored 47 goals for the Welsh club.

He joined Swansea from Olympique Marseille in 2015 and had a great first season, earning him a transfer to West Ham the following season, but returned in January 2018.

Ayew scored 35 of his Swansea goals in the past two seasons after returning from a 2018-19 loan spell at Fenerbahce.

His final appearance for the club came in last Saturday’s play-off final defeat to Brentford at the Wembley Stadium.
