EPL: Iheanacho Breaks silence on Leicester City’s Failure to Qualify for Champions League

Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, has finally expressed his disappointment following his club’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Leicester’s hope of playing in the Champions League faded into thin air on the last day of the 2020-21 Premier League season on Sunday as they lost 4-2 to Tottenham Hotspur at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes will not be participating in the Europa League next season, but Iheanacho is satisfied with his side’s performance this season.

Reacting, the Super Eagles striker wrote on Twitter on Wednesday night, “Disappointed to miss out on UCL qualification, we gave it all until the last moment.

“I’m proud of my team, winning the FA Cup was a dream for us. We’ll use this as motivation to be back next season! Thanks to the fans for your support this season.

“Have a great Summer everyone.”
