Granada vs Man Utd: Solskjaer names player who will miss game over COVID-19

Manchester United defender, Eric Bailly, will miss their Europa League quarter-final clash against Granad this Thursday, as he has tested positive for COVID-19.

This was confirmed by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Solskjaer revealed the player contracted the virus while on international duty with Ivory Coast.

Bailly was unavailable for the Red Devils’ 2-1 comeback win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

Solskjaer, speaking after the game, explained that Bailly is yet to return to England and will not be available for selection for the time being.

“Unfortunately he won’t be with us for a little while,” Solskjaer was quoted by the club website after the game.

“He’s been away with Ivory Coast and he tested positive with COVID-19 and he’s not back in the country yet.”
