Europa League: Slavia Prague Player Banned for 10 Matches Ahead of Arsenal Second Leg

UEFA has banned Slavia Plague defender, Ondrej Kudela for 10 matches, for “racist behaviour” towards Glen Kamara.

Kamara himself has been banned for three games for his reaction during the incident.

Kudela and Kamara clashed at the end of a Europa League last 16 second leg match at Ibrox.

Kamara reacted furiously after he was racially abused by Kudela, before several players on both sides became involved in confrontations.

A UEFA investigation has now ruled that Kudela was guilty of racism and its Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector had decided: “To suspend SK Slavia Praha player, Ondrej Kudela, for the next 10 UEFA club and representative team competition matches for which he would otherwise be eligible to play, for racist behaviour.”

The suspension has been back-dated to the Europa League quarter-final first leg between Slavia and Arsenal, for which Kudela was not selected.

The game ended 1-1 and the defender will now miss the second leg tomorrow.
