What Solskjaer Said about Fred after Man Utd’s 3-1 Defeat at Leicester

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, refused to single out Fred for his errors during their 3-1 defeat to Leicester City in the FA Cup quarter-final on Sunday.

Goals from Kelechi Iheanacho (twice) and Youri Tielemans secured the win for Brendan Rodgers’ men.

Mason Greenwood netted what proved to be consolation for the Red Devils.

Iheanacho’s first goal was as a result of sloppy backpass from Fred that left Dean Henderson stranded as Iheanacho rounded him to score.

But Solskjaer refused to play the blame game.

“We want to build from the back and want the players to be confident – sometimes it doesn’t work and that’s one time it didn’t.

“When we win, we win together and when we lose, we lose together.

“We’re not pointing fingers and blaming,” Solskjaer told BBC Sport.
