Michael Owen Predicts Juventus vs Porto, Dortmund vs Sevilla

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker, Michael Owen, has predicted Juventus to beat FC Porto when both sides clash in tonight’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 second-leg fixture in Turin.

Owen also predicted Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla to play a draw at Westfalenstadion, Germany.

Recall that Porto defeated Juventus 2-1 in the first-leg last month, while Dortmund won 3-2 against Sevilla.

Providing his predictions, Owen told BetVictor: “Despite Juventus suffering defeat in the first leg, they came away from Portugal with a vital away goal. With so much firepower, I just can’t see past the Old Lady adding to their goal tally.

“The jury may still be out on whether Andrea Pirlo is the right man for the job in the long term, but I do feel this tie is set up for his side to take full advantage on home soil. Juventus 2, Porto 0.”

Commenting on the Dortmund vs Sevilla match, Owen said, “Borussia Dortmund hold all the aces as they welcome Sevilla to Germany. With three away goals in the bag, they have a huge advantage, and it leaves Sevilla with little choice but to have a go.

“If that materialises, it could leave the visitors exposed at the back, and I wouldn’t back against the red hot Erling Haaland capitalising.

“So, I’m siding with the Germans to go through with it ending all square on the night. Dortmund 1, Sevilla 1.”

The kick-off time for all the matches is 9 pm.
