Kai Havertz Makes Promises, suggests Position Good for him at Chelsea

Chelsea star, Kai Havertz, has promised to improve and give his best for the club in the next few weeks.

Havertz has also revealed that a false nine position will be good for him in the Blues’ squad, adding that he likes to have freedom on the pitch.

The 21-year-old said this after his impressive display in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory against Everton in the Premier League on Monday night.

“Now we are four points in front of them [Everton], and we have to secure that. That’s the plan, our goal is the Champions League,” the Germany international said as quoted by Chelsea’s official website.

“You have to be strong in the next few matches as well, and that’s my goal. I will try to improve, I will try to give my best in the next few weeks, and then I hope it will continue like that.

“I played like a false nine, I had the freedom to go everywhere I wanted to go, and I think that’s good for me. I like to have freedom on the pitch. I think I was lucky to score a goal, but I’m very happy with the performance, not only from me but the whole group.

“I think we can do a lot better than today, but the result was a win, so of course, we’re very happy with it.”

Havertz will hope to continue his impressive performance for Thomas Tuchel’s side when they tackle Leeds United on Saturday.
