French government grants exemption after Depay’s plea for full quarantine waiver for international players

The Lyon and Netherlands star had urged the powers that be in the country to allow international players to travel without requiring to self-isolate
The French government and FFF (French Football Federation) will allow foreign players to join up with their international teams next week without having to quarantine upon their return but only if certain criteria is met, RMC reports.

Memphis Depay had called upon the government in France to grant a waiver for all international footballers who play in Ligue 1 to be exempt from the mandatory period of self-isolation that would’ve been required after they arrived back in the country.

That request came after the France national team, who will play away fixtures against Kazakhstan and Bosnia-Herzegovina over the next two weeks, were given the green light to travel to their matches without restriction, with Depay urging the exemption to apply to all the league’s international players.
