France Coach, Didier Deschamps Names Manager to Replace him

France head coach, Didier Deschamps, has identified Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, to be his ideal successor.

Deschamps believes that Zidane is the right candidate to succeed him on the bench of the France national team because he has a lot of credibility.

Deschamps’s current contract with France will expire after the 2022 World Cup.

“His [Zidane’s] success as a coach has given him a lot of credibility in the dugout,” Deschamps said as quoted by AS when asked about his future as France coach.

“He had the legitimacy, but now he has the credibility. It is likely that one day he could replace me on the bench.”

Meanwhile, Zidane’s contract with Real Madrid will end in 2022.

The Los Blancos coach has already stated that one day he can see himself managing the France senior team.
