Chelsea vs Everton: ‘Many Doubt me but I Will Prove Them Wrong’ – Kai Havert

Chelsea forward, Kai Havertz has revealed that many people doubt his ability to perform at a top-level at Stamford Bridge but vowed to keep working hard to prove them wrong.

Havertz was among the three German youngsters brought in by the former manager, Frank Lampard last summer.

The German had admitted a difficult beginning to his Blues career, interrupted by injury and Coronavirus.

And despite his involvement in Chelsea’s opener, which has initially been recorded as an own goal, Havertz brushed aside claims that he is back to his best.

Godfrey’s own goal and a spot-kick converted by Jorginho in the second half ensured that Thomas Tuche’s men extended their unbeaten to 11 games in all competitions.

“Many people doubt me, this performance will give me a lot of confidence.

“So I’m very happy, but of course it was my first match after injury. I think it was a good performance from me, but you cannot say this after one performance.

‘You have to be strong in the next few matches as well and that’s my goal. I will try to improve, I will try to give my best in the next few weeks and then I hope it will continue like that.”
