Chelsea Goalkeeper, Kepa Suffers Another Major Setback

Chelsea goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, has suffered another major setback on Monday after he was snubbed by Spain ahead of this month’s international break.

Kepa, who is currently behind Edouard Mendy in Chelsea’s choice of goalkeepers at Stamford Bridge, was not invited by Spain coach, Luis Enrique, for their World Cup qualifiers against Greece, Georgia and Kosovo.

The 26-year-old has been regularly called up despite usually playing second fiddle to Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea, but this time he has missed out.

However, Enrique instead included Brighton’s Robert Sánchez and Athletic Bilbao’s Unai Simón in the list ahead of Kepa.

Spain’s squad against Greece, Georgia and Kosovo:

Goalkeepers: De Gea, Robert Sánchez, Unai Simón

Defenders: Pedro Porro, Eric García, Sergio Ramos, Diego Llorente, Iñigo Martínez, Jordi Alba, Gayá

Midfielders: Busquets, Rodri, Thiago, Pedri, Marcos Llorente, Canales, Koke, Fabián

Forwards: Gerard Moreno, Ferran Torres, Oyarzabal, Morata, Bryan Gil, Dani Olmo
