Arsenal vs Tottenham: Arteta Drops Aubameyang From Starting XI for ‘Disciplinary Reasons

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has left captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from his starting XI to face Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Arteta made three changes to the team that beat Olympiacos 3-1 in the Europa League on Thursday.

Cedric Soares replaces Hector Bellerin at right, Emile Smith Rowe comes in for Willian and Alexandre Lacazette replaces Aubameyang.

On why he dropped Aubameyang, Arteta told Sky Sports: “He was going to start the game. We had a disciplinary issue, we have drawn the line and we move on.

“He is on the bench. No [nothing more to say], we keep that internally.

We have a process we have to respect for every game and that’s it.”
