Benzema, Hazard Missing in Zidane’s Champions League Squad

 


Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has excluded forwards, Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard from his side’s 19-man squad to face Atalanta in the Champions League round of 16, first-leg tie at Atleti Azzurri d’Italia on Wednesday night.

Zidane released the squad in a post via Real Madrid’s official website on Monday.

Zidane’s men head to the game following a 1-0 victory over Valladolid in the La Liga in their last fixture over the weekend, while Atalanta defeated Napoli 4-2 in the Serie A.

Real Madrid’s squad against Atalanta:

Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin and Altube.

Defenders: R. Varane, Nacho, F. Mendy, Chust and Miguel.

Midfielders: Kroos, Modrić, Casemiro, Isco, Arribas and Blanco.

Forwards: Asensio, Lucas V., Vini Jr., Mariano and Hugo Duro.

The kick-off time for Atalanta vs Real Madrid is 9 pm.
