Former chairman of Gombe State Football Association, Ahmed
Shuaibu Gara Gombe, has questioned the incompetence of the technical department
of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) following the recent dismal performance of
the country’s national teams.
This
he attributed sequel to poor outing of the Nigerian teams stating that, the
Amaju Pinnick-led board are not interested in the development of the round
leather game in the country and lack a blueprint.
According
to him, he says the appointment of coaches for the national teams are based on
political consideration instead of competence and development, and if this
persist,Nigeria will go nowhere in the development of football.
The
renowned administrator and fearless sports critic, further mentioned that corruption
in the NFF would not allow knowledgeable people that have genuine interest
to get involved in the development of football in Nigeria.
