Fans Are Convinced Harry Kane 'Injured Himself' By Trying To 'Back In' To Jordan Henderson

Fans are convinced Harry Kane 'injured himself' by trying to 'back in' to Jordan Henderson during Tottenham Hotspur 1-3 Liverpool.

Kane didn't come out for the second half and it was confirmed following the game he has suffered two ankle injuries.

Eagle-eyed viewers think they've spotted the moment Kane got hurt, a coming together with Reds captain Jordan Henderson.

The 27-year-old looked to see where Henderson was before trying win the ball. Kane then fell to the ground when fellow England international Henderson didn't jump.

Kane has been accused of attempting to 'back in' to opponents while leaping in the air, meaning they'll take a nasty tumble.

Fans have reacted to the incident and they think it had a massive impact on Spurs, who registered two shots on target all game.

Kane has a history of ankle problems and manager Jose Mourinho admitted he could be out for a few weeks.

"The second injury was worse than the first one," he said per The Guardian. "For Harry to leave a game when the team is losing is not a nothing injury. There are some players you can't replace. Both ankles getting big."

When asked about a potential timeframe on the injury, he replied: "We have to wait and see."

Mourinho continued: "It's the mood of a team that it was difficult to accept you are losing, difficult to accept the nature of the goal because the goal is in some aspects a replica of the chance they had in the first minute.

"So it's of course a mood where people are not happy - but then we have to move. Then Harry is injured and we need to try to do something. Unlucky that we started the second half conceding a goal."

Victory for Liverpool takes them back up to fourth in the Premier League, while Spurs are sixth and four points off the Champions League places.
