Tim Sherwood "Wasn't Worried" About Liverpool's Corner Vs Tottenham - They Scored Seconds Later

Tim Sherwood claimed he "wasn't too worried" about Liverpool's corners vs Tottenham Hotspur - only to see Roberto Firmino score the winner from one moments later.

Former Spurs boss Sherwood worked as a pundit on the game for Amazon Prime and was tasked with watching the action at Anfield.

As Andy Robertson stood ready to take a corner in the 90th minute, he remarked: "Another corner. I'm not too worried about this corner, it might come back to bite me. I think Tottenham have the dominancy in the air.

"I'm not sure anybody can get their head on the first ball."

You know what happened next. Firmino jumped above every Spurs defender and buried his header to seal all three points.

Every other member of the panel let out an "Oh Tim!" and in relation to headers on the first ball, he remarked: "Apart from that one."

Fans have reacted to Sherwood's work on the game and they think it could be one of the funniest mishaps of the season.

Liverpool took the lead in the first half through Mohamed Salah, who saw his shot deflect off a Spurs defender and loop in over Hugo Lloris.

Spurs then equalised against the run of play through Son Heung-min. The South Korean international narrowly beat the offside trap and finished superbly past Alisson.

Jose Mourinho's men had their chances in the second half, with Steven Bergwijn hitting the post and Harry Kane missing a header.

But Firmino's last-gasp goal sees Liverpool return to the top of the Premier League thanks to other results going their way.
