Neymar Drops Lionel Messi Bombshell After PSG’s 3-1 Win Over Manchester United

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar has revealed that he is keen for a sensational reunion with Barcelona captain Lionel Messi.
The 28-year-old Brazilian winger scored a brace on Wednesday as PSG sealed an important 3-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Champions League.

Speaking after the match, Neymar made a bombshell claim to Brazilian reporters that he wants to share the pitch with Messi again.

"What I want most is to play with [Messi] again, to be able to enjoy being on the pitch with him again," the Brazil international said.

"He could play in my place. He won't have any problems, I'm sure. I want to play with him again and I'm sure that, next season, we have to do it."

Neymar played alongside Messi for four years at the Camp Nou before he completed his world-record £200m move to the French capital.

The former Barcelona superstar has been linked with a return to the Camp Nou, but Neymar and Messi could be reunited together at PSG.

Messi, 33, will become a free agent in the summer and is free to speak with clubs in January to sign a pre-contract agreement.

And PSG are one of the few clubs that could make a move for the six-time Ballon d'Or winner and cover his hefty wage package.

Messi's future at Barcelona remains in doubt after he stunned the world in the summer by handing in a transfer request.

Barcelona presidential hopeful Emili Rousaud is eager to repair the club's relationship with the Argentine superstar by renaming the Camp Nou after him.

And the 54-year-old Spaniard has revealed plans to bring Neymar back to Barcelona should he succeed former club president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

"We're going to sign two top players, one of them is Neymar," Rousaud said.

"We are working to bring him back to Barcelona... if he withdraws the lawsuit he has against the club.

"We hope to be able to announce soon the name of the other big-name player we want to bring.

"It will not leave anyone indifferent. We have a direct line to the player."
