'Mane & Salah relationship is really strong' - Robertson plays down rift concerns over Liverpool's star duo

 

The Scotland international says squad harmony has been central to the Reds' success over recent seasons

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has dismissed rumours of a rift between team-mates Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

There has been speculation in recent months suggesting the Reds duo do not get along, rumours given further credence in October last year when Mane reacted furiously to Salah’s decision to shoot instead of the pass to him during a Premier League win at Burnley.

Robertson, though, has rubbished those suggestions, insisting such a reaction is natural for players who are paid to be selfish in front of goal.
