Borussia Monchengladbach centre-back Matthias Ginter has been favourably compared to Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos by Germany legend Lothar Matthaus.
Only defending champions Bayern Munich and third-placed RB Leipzig have conceded fewer goals than Gladbach in the early weeks of the Bundesliga season, and much of that is due to the influence of Ginter, Matthaus has claimed.
The centre-back, who has not missed a second of action for his side this season, turns 27 in January and the World Cup winner believes that his best is ahead of him.
