Real Madrid resist Bayern Munich approach for Fede Valerde

Real Madrid have resisted an approach from Bayern Munich for Fede Valerde.
Marca says despite bringing in Marc Roca, their main target of Fede Valverde wasn't available. They were looking for a player with strength, power and who can drive forward, and at top of their list of targets was the Real Madrid midfielder, with the club believing that the Uruguayan would fit in perfectly to the fast-paced style of play in Germany. The issue is that neither player nor Real Madrid set anything in motion in terms of the transfer and Valverde's only focus at the moment is to play, enjoy his football and win trophies for Los Blancos; nothing is going to distract him from that. Also, Bayern and Real Madrid's directors maintain a good relationship and are part of a set of clubs who don't want to 'attack' any other party with aggressive tactics or attempts to steal a player away in the final moments of the window.
