Gonzalo Higuain opened his account for Inter Miami with a stunning free-kick against New York Red Bulls in the MLS.
David Beckham's franchise completed the signing of Higuain on a free transfer as the club's third designated player last month.
And the Argentine forward scored his first goal for his new club on Wednesday.
He converted a brilliant free-kick in the 81st minute to secure three points for the Florida-based team.
A much-needed goal for Higuain who had a nightmare debut.
His side lost 3-0 to Philadelphia Union with the former Chelsea striker blazing a penalty over the crossbar.
But the 32-year-old is now up and running ahead of the remaining MLS fixtures.
Inter Miami occupy 12th place on 14 points, four points behind Nashville who sit in the final play-off spot.
They have seven games left to clinch a play-off spot.
