17-Year-Old Eduardo Camavinga Scores Insane Overhead Kick In First Start For France

Eduardo Camavinga wasted no time in making an instant impact on his first start for France after scoring a sensational overhead kick against Ukraine.

The 17-year-old midfielder made his debut for France last month when he replaced N'Golo Kante in the second half of his side's 4-2 win against Croatia in the Nations League.

And now Didier Deschamps handed the highly rated Camavinga his first start for France in their clash with Ukraine at the Stade de France.

During the opening 10 minutes of the match, Olivier Giroud managed to connect with a cross and brought the ball down for an onrushing Camavinga.

The Rennes star still had his work cut out for him as he managed to connect with a superb overhead kick to loft the ball over a Ukraine player on the line.

According to OptaJean, Camavinga has now become the second youngest player in history to score for France.

OptaJean tweeted: "Eduardo Camavinga has become France's 2nd youngest player ever to score for Les Bleus (17 years and 11 months), only behind Maurice Gastiger against Switzerland in March 1914 (17 years and 5 months). Wonder."

Chelsea striker Giroud doubled the 2018 World Cup winner's advantage in the 24th minute with a superb curling strike past Heorhiy Bushchan.

The 34-year-old Frenchman would complete his brace 10 minutes later to put France 3-0 up against Ukraine in the first half.

France lead Ukraine 4-0 going into half-time at the Stade de France. Corentin Tolisso, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann all scored in the second half as France completed their 7-1 demolition of Ukraine at the Stade de France on Wednesday.
