Leicester boss Rodgers insists Evans sale not on agenda

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers insists selling Jonny Evans is 'absolutely not' in his plans.

There has been speculation over the former Manchester United defender's future after the Foxes were linked with Burnley's James Tarkowski, St Etienne defender Wesley Fofana and Jonathan Tah of Bayer Leverkusen.

But Rodgers said, "He is clearly a player I would love to keep here. He has been absolutely brilliant, not just in the games but in training with setting the standards and the mentality.

"I believe the discussion will go on between Jonny's agent and the club, and hopefully we can find a solution to keeping him here."
