Italian club, Crotone stalls signing of Ogenyi Onazi due to his high salary demands

Super Eagles player, Ogenyi Onazi’s proposed move to Italian Serie A side, Crotone, is now on hold due to his high wage demands, according to new reports.

Crotone, newly promoted to the Italian top division want to tie Onazi, 26, to a new three-year deal .

The club is in final stages of talks with Onazi as the midfielder is a free agent, after ending his contract with Turkish club, Denizlispor in July.

Pictures surfaced on the internet last week, showing Onazi as he was undergoing medicals at the club, but the deal is still far from over as Crotone want to pay him according to his performances but Onazi and his management want a normal salary like his teammates.

According to Italian media reports, Onazi's agent will wait and see to find out if the club will meet their demands.

Onazi reportedly earned around €45,000 per week at his former club.
