Willian: Arteta said he needs me to win Champions League with Arsenal

The 32-year-old enjoyed a successful spell at Chelsea but he hopes to complete his trophy collection by winning Europe's top club competition

Willian says he joined Arsenal to win the Champions League and was convinced by coach Mikel Arteta’s desire to lead the Gunners to European glory.

The Brazilian winger joined Arsenal from London rivals Chelsea, signing a three-year contract. Willian spent seven years at Stamford Bridge and won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and a Europa League crown.

The 32-year-old has his heart set on the Champions League trophy, however, and he believes he can achieve it with Arsenal after talks with his new boss.
