Coutinho to Arsenal: Agent Gives latest Update on Midfielder’s Future

Barcelona playmaker, Philippe Coutinho’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, has provided the latest update on his client’s future at Camp Nou amid interest from Arsenal.
DAILY POST had reported that Coutinho had drawn the interest of Arsenal in the past couple of weeks.
Arsenal head coach, Mikel Arteta, is a huge admirer of Coutinho.
But Joorabchian has now insisted that he has not yet spoken to Coutinho about his immediate future, but says that the midfielder is keen to move back to the Premier League.
“He’s so focused on getting through the next stage of the Champions League,” Joorabchian told talkSPORT.
“He’s got a massive game, the club that owns him versus the one that he’s playing for.
“So he’s in a massive situation at the moment.”
Joorabchian added: “After the Champions League has finished, whatever happens, then we will sit down.
“I have not even spoken to him about next year. It could be that Barcelona could be the ultimate destination.
“He loves the Premier League, he wants to come to the Premier League, but the finances as the situation with COVID-19 are all going to play a big part because he’s a big player with big numbers.”
Coutinho joined Barcelona from Liverpool for a £145 million deal in the 2018 January transfer window.
The 28-year-old spent the 2019-2020 season on loan at Bayern Munich and helped the German giants to win the domestic league and cup double.
The Brazilian international scored nine goals and registered eight assists in 34 appearances for Bayern.
