Chelsea ace Mount: Dad urged me to consider other offers
Mason Mount admits his Dad urged him to consider other offers before committing to Chelsea as a teenager.
Mount's dad, Tony, feared there was no clear pathway leading from the youth academy to the senior first team at Stamford Bridge, and reportedly sounded out several clubs over a possible move.
"I was around 14 and I was about to sign a new contract," Mount told the Sunday Times.
"My dad always had questions because there weren't many young players coming through.
"JT [John Terry] was the only one who really came through and had an unbelievable career."
