Solskjaer Issues Strong Warning to De Gea after Blunders in Chelsea Defeat

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has warned David De Gea his place is under threat, after his blunders cost them a place in the FA Cup final.
De Gea failed to hold on to shots from Olivier Giroud and Mason Mount, to hand Chelsea a 2-0 lead at Wembley.
The Blues got a third through Harry Maguire’s own goal, before Bruno Fernandes pulled one back from the penalty spot.
De Gea’s mistakes were the latest in an error-strewn season from the previously imperious United No.1
Solskjaer has now warned the Spaniard he must perform to keep his place.
“I can’t speak for David’s confidence, but he’s mentally very strong.
“He knows he should save that one 100 times out of 100, but that’s football for you. I made the decision to play him and mentally he was ready for it.
“It’s hard for a keeper to make amends, apart from David making two or three fantastic saves afterwards.
“David showed in the rest of the game, he made a few good saves, but he knows he should have saved the second one,” Solskjaer said after the game.
