Michael Owen Names Clubs to Challenge Liverpool for title next Season

Former Liverpool striker, Michael Owen has named Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea as the three clubs that will challenge Jurgen Klopp’s side for next season’s Premier League title.

Liverpool FC was crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 30 years last Thursday following Man City’s 2-1 loss against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking on the club that can contest with Liverpool for next season’s Premier League title, Owen told Premier League Production: “I think Liverpool are a very, very strong team that is probably going to be strong for some time.
“But that is not to say they cannot be caught. Manchester City is a phenomenal team, and if they turn it on, we are going to have a great title race.
“Manchester United are the first team outside those two that spring to mind because they are improving at a rapid rate.
“Chelsea are showing a lot of intent with their [new] signings.
“They [Chelsea] have been banned from signing players for some while but now they are making a big splash, and they have got some youngsters coming in.
“Frank Lampard looks like he has the bit between their teeth. There are lots of teams that look like they could do it [challenge], but I think they are the main two [as well as Man City].”
