Lovren sad to leave 'good friend' Salah & 'big family' at Liverpool after Zenit switch

The Croatian defender has sent a final farewell message to his team-mates and supporters after calling time on his Anfield career

Dejan Lovren says he is sad to leave his "good friend" Mohamed Salah and "big family" at Liverpool after his switch to Zenit St Petersburg.

Lovren completed a €12 million (£11m/$14m) move to Zenit on Monday, bringing his six-year spell at Anfield to a close.

The 31-year-old became a Premier League title winner in 2019-20, but only featured in 10 games for Jurgen Klopp's side after falling behind Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez in the squad pecking order.
