Cristiano Ronaldo Had One Of His Worst Nights For Juventus Against Sassuolo

Cristiano Ronaldo had a shocker of a performance against Sassuolo as Juventus dropped points from a 2-0 lead for the second time in their past three games.
Juve scored three times during their game on Wednesday night but it wasn't enough for the win as their defensive issues once again showed.

However it was up front where someone had their most lacklustre performance with Ronaldo failing to score or assist a goal in a Serie A game for the first time since December.

In a six goal thriller the five time Ballon d'Or winner didn't manage to have a single shot on target and was dispossessed 10 times.
It was a rare off night for the former Manchester United winger, since football returned as he had scored seven goals in the six games before Sassuolo.

That run has taken him within a goal of Ciro Immobile at the top of the goal scoring charts in Serie A, with the two meeting on Monday.

Despite that run of form from their main man the Old Lady have actually failed to win any of their past three games.

They led AC Milan 2-0, just over a week ago, only to lose 4-2, as Ronaldo's attempts to drop deep backfired and last weekend needed a 90th minute Ronaldo penalty to draw 2-2 with free scoring Atalanta.

Despite Juve's poor run of form they're still all but guaranteed their ninth title in-a-row as their previous closest challengers Lazio have won just two of their seven games since returning, with four losses and last night's 0-0 draw with Udinese.

Inter have also lost one and drawn twice, although their challenge was pretty much already over before Covid-19 stopped the league, especially after losing to the league leaders in the Derby d'Italia behind closed doors just before football was paused.

On the other hand the break for Atalanta has been brilliant and they've won all of their games since the return other than the 2-2 draw with Ronaldo and co, to jump up from fourth to second.

A night to forget for Ronaldo but when the season's over he'll still end up with another league medal and possible the Golden Boot.
