Mike Tyson offered $1million to return to the ring

Former heavyweight champion, Michael Gerard popularly known as Iron Mike Tyson might be back to the ring. The New Yorker has been tempted with an offer of $1 million to come out of retirement by boxing promoter Brain Amatruda.

Tyson, who retired in 2005 had earlier revealed that he is ready to return back to boxing ring as he has been training with Mix Martial Art genius Rafael Cordeiro, who is the head coach at Kings MMA in California for some weeks now.

Amatruda might have given Tyson a lifeline to return to the ring with the $1 million offer to come out of retirement and fight ex-rugby players Paul Gallen and Barry Hall or All Blacks legend, Sonny Williams.

Amatruda said: “I will hold it at Melbourne Arena where we can get over 10,000 or even Princes Park where they got 30,000 for Jeff Fenech against Azumah Nelson.
“Tyson might be 53-year-old but he is still a big name and any of those blokes Hall, Gallen or Sonny Bill would be glad to get into the ring with him.

“I would make it part of a card with a world title fight. It will be vast. Not just a fight but an event.
“My first step was to contact Max Markson (celerity agent) and ask him to offer the boxing legend $1 million.
