Samir Nasri 'set to be sacked by Anderlecht' after going AWOL during lockdown

Former Arsenal and Manchester City ace Samir Nasri is reportedly set to be sacked by Belgian side Anderlecht after failing to contact them while in lockdown.
According to Belgian outlet Derniere Heure, Nasri fled to Dubai but has not spoken to club officials at all.
Anderlecht asked all of their players to let them know of their whereabouts while in lockdown but Nasri appears to have gone AWOL, with the 32-year-old the only one who has ignored the club's wishes.
Anderlecht are now contemplating axing the playmaker, who joined the club on a free transfer at the start of the season after a short stint at West Ham United.
Nasri has made just five appearances, with his time in Belgium badly affected by injury problems.
Speaking back in February, Anderlecht's sporting director Michael Verschueren claimed the decision to sign Nasri was a mistake.
"If I had to do it again, would we have signed Samir Nasri? With what we know now, no," he told Proximus. "We're very worried about Nacer Chadli's calf injury.
"If we had known about it, we might have acted differently. We've been unlucky. We wanted him to play more. You can get injured once, but for a second time, it's not positive."
The Belgian Pro League season has already come to an end, with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic causing the league to cancel the current campaign and award the title to Club Brugges.
The decision was announced in an official statement, which read: "The Board of Directors unanimously decided that it was not desirable, whatever the scenario envisaged, to continue the competition after June 30.
"Taking into account the above elements, the Board of Directors made a unanimous recommendation to not resume the competitions of the 2019-20 season and to accept the current classification of the Jupiler Pro League as classification final, subject to the decisions of the licensing commission."
