Alexis Mac Allister hopes his move to Brighton can help him make Argentina's 2022 World Cup squad.
Mac Allister is just breaking into the senior national squad and will hope to cement that place by making an impact in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old said: “The World Cup is the dream. Everything that comes before that – the Copa America, World Cup qualifiers, the Olympics – are targets in the short to medium term to prove that I am up at that level.
“And that in two years I can be at my best level."
Mac Allister arrived only in January from Argentinos Juniors.
