“Silence Is Better” – Bruno Fernandes After Telling Pep Guardiola To Shut Up In Manchester Derby

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has revealed his regrets at telling Coach Pep Guardiola to be quiet during the earlier Manchester Derby.

The Portuguese star clashed with the Manchester City Coach in the second half when Pep threw the ball away which resulted in Fernandes putting his finger to his lips in a ‘shut up’ gesture as they exchanged some words.

Manchester United won the game with a 2-0 victory but Fernandes has revealed he now regrets his action towards Pep Guardiola.

‘People said. Who is Bruno to shut Guardiola down? What has he won?’ Fernandes said in an interview with Canal 11.

‘But I don’t agree a person defines himself by what he has or has won.

‘I am disappointed in myself a little because I should have been more intelligent, the best answer was silence and he would just be talking to himself.

‘It is the right shape, that inner blood that keeps me from being silent.’

The Portuguese playnaker arrived at Old Trafford in January, for £62million with potential add-ons.

But Fernandes believes the fee United paid for him was too much as he admitted the current transfer market sees players bought for shocking fees.

‘The values were never so high as now,’ he added.

‘I think it’s unnecessary. My transfer, the feee mentioned, the add-ons that could happen, the value that was paid for me was too high.

‘Players that were bought at this price some years ago were Ballon d’Or winners.’

However, despite the £62m fee since joining Manchester United, Bruno has three goals goals and four assists in nine matches.
