OFFICIAL: UEFA Confirm Champions League, Europa League Finals Postponed





UEFA has announced a decision to postpone the all Champions League Finals and the Europa League final due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Istanbul, Turkey was ready to host the men’s UEFA Champions League final on May 30, while the Europa League final was set May 27 at Gdansk.

‘UEFA has officially taken the decision to postpone the club tournament finals previously scheduled for May 2020,’ a statement read.

‘A decision is yet to be made on the rearranged dates.


‘The group, established last week after the the conference call among the stakeholders of European football, which was started by UEFA President, Aleksander Ceferin, will analyse all further options available.

‘The group has started its examination of the calendar. Announcements will be made soon enough.’



This is the second postponement UEFA has confirmed within a week after Euro 2020 was postponed until 2021.

Future schedules and timings is largely dependent on the coronavirus ending, while the World continues to struggle in controlling the outbreak.

Administrators will closely monitor the situation and are more likely to take both governmental and medical advice before choosing another new decision.
