He's A Top Striker" - Man Utd Coach Solksjaer Praises Odion Ighalo After Double In 3-0 Win

Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised two players after his side's FA Cup win over Derby County.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised goalscores Odion Ighalo and Luke Shaw after last night's FA Cup win.

Manchester United thrashed Derby 3-0 in their FA Cup match to secure a quarter-final tie against Norwich City later this month.

Luke Shaw scored the first goal in the first half, with his strike taking a slight deflection off Jesse Lingard.

Odion Ighalo then scored a brace for United, moving his goals tally to three goals for the club since his transfer deadline day move from Shanghai Shenhua.

Speaking after the game, Solskjaer praised the two goalscorers.

On Shaw, the 47-year-old said: "He is getting even better and better and is now in good form.

"Left centre back or left back he has worked vsdy hard after injuries and deserves it."

On Ighalo, Solksjaer added: "When you sign strikers, you want them to be confident and happy.

"He has come in and of course we still have a few injury problems and it is great for us to have Odion available.

"He is a top striker for us and scores good goals, there are not many players who could dig that one out for his first. We have a team of quality players."

Speaking after the match, Ighalo himself was delighted and said: "I am happy to be in this great team, great players and great manager, I am happy and we are working very hard.

"We knew we needed to win the game to reach the next round this season and end the season well. The start was not as planned but after 20-25 minutes we got everything going.

"I used my physicality and I am happy the ball scored. For the second goal, they blocked it then there was no other option than to shoot.

"I had another shot but didn't connect well but the most important thing is that we won the game.

"We want to keep this feeling going and make sure we do great this season."
