Eric Dier Jumps Into Crowd To FIGHT a Tottenham Fan, Who Insulted His Family

Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier suddenly jumped into the crowd to confront one of Spurs' supporters who was abusing him after the north London club were knocked out of the FA Cup.

Dier was heading down the tunnel until he spotted his brother, a fan at the match sitting in an area mean for only players' families where the incident occurred.

He then rushed over rows of seats and stormed high into the crowd to intervene as tensions got high after Spurs had crashed out on penalties to Norwich and missing their best chance winning a trophy this season.

Video Footage shows a man running away fast as Dier approaches, before he is held back from chasing the fan down a stairwell.

Dier is now facing an FA charge for an extraordinary incident which clouded their FA Cup exit against Norwich.

The England international was heard in the Video footage taken by one fan near the incident shouting 'he's my bro, he's my brother' before he was taken away from the flashpoint and through a door at the back of the stands.

Dier's brother was invited into the dressing room after the Clash and the club are working on identifying the fan who ran off.

Tottenham Coach Jose Mourinho said: 'The fan insulted Eric, his family was there, the young brother was not happy with it then Eric did what we professionals should not do but we probably would do.

'When anyone insults you and your family is there and they get involved with the person insulting you, I think Eric Dier did what we professionals seem right.

'The fans that are in this privileged position, in this area of the tunnel, of course most are Tottenham fans but also a lot of guests, invitations and people with special status.
'It is a place in the stadium I sometimes have doubts if they are real Tottenham fans or they just came to watch the game.'
