David Beckham's Inter Miami Lose First MLS Game To Carlos Vela Wondergoal

David Beckham's Inter Miami lost their first ever MLS match to Los Angeles FC as Carlos Vela scored a glorious chip.

Los Angeles FC beat Inter Miami 1-0 on Sunday thanks to a superb goal from ex-Arsenal and West Brom forward Vela.

The Mexican scored the game's only goal in the 44th minute as he evaded three Inter Miami players before finding the back of the net with a stunning lob over goalkeeper Luis Robles.

His goal proved to be the match winner and the win moves Los Angeles FC to sixth place in the Western Conference, while defeat leaves Inter Miami in 12th place in the Eastern Conference.

Beckham was joined in the stands with wife Victoria and eldest son Brooklyn with celebrity chef Gordan Ramsay also in attendance for Inter Miami's first MLS game.

Inter Miami, managed by two-time CONCACAF Champions League winner Diego Alonso, resume their campaign this Saturday when they face DC United.

Los Angeles FC, on the other hand, take on Philadelphia next Monday.
