Anthony Joshua Vs Kubrat Pulev Fight CONFIRMED (Date, Venue, Details)

Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua will fight Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev next in June.

Joshua Vs Pulev will take place on June 20 at the Tottenham Hotspur 62,000-seater stadium.

Many fans had suggested that Joshua should face Tyson Fury but Deontay Wilder has activated the clause in his contract on Sunday for another rematch with the Gypsy King.

It will be the third fight between Fury and the American, who he beat late in February.

That meant Joshua had to find an opponent for the summer and Kubrat Pulev has confirmed they will face off at Spurs' ground.

The 38-year-old former European super-heavyweight champion Pulev wrote on his Facebook page: 'The contract is officially signed already.

'I am happy to show the world how truly strong I am.'

A statement added: 'OFFICIAL: Kubrat Pulev Vs Anthony Joshua! The confirmed date is June 20th, at the Tottenham Stadium for the World Heavyweight Title in London.

'The fight between the Bulgarian boxer, who is a mandatory contender for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) bely, and Anthony Joshua is assured.'

Anthony Joshua, defeated Mexican-American Andy Ruiz Jr in a rematch in December in Saudi Arabia to regain his IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO world titles.

Popularly known as 'The Cobra', Pulev contested for the IBF world heavyweight title in 2014 but lost to Wladimir Klitschko in Hamburg to a fifth-round knockout.

Joshua last fought in September 2018 in London when he defeated Alexander Povetkin at Wembley Stadium.
