Real Madrid vs Man City: Hazard Excluded as Zidane Names Champions League Squad



Real Madrid have released their squad to tackle Manchester City in tonight’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg fixture.

Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has named a 19-man squad to tackle Pep Guardiola’s side at the Santiago Bernabéu in a post on their official website on Tuesday night and excluded forward, Eden Hazard from the list.

DAILY POST had reported that Hazard limped off in the second half of Real Madrid’s La Liga 1-0 defeat to Levante on Saturday.

Zidane’s men head to the game following a 1-0 defeat against Levante in the La Liga in their last encounter, while Man City defeated Leicester City 1-0 in the Premier League.

Real Madrid and Man City have met four times in the Champions League, between 2012 and 2016.

The Los Blancos won two and drew two against the Premier League champions.

Real Madrid squad against Man City:

Benzema, Bale, Lucas Vázquez, Jović, Vinicius Jr, Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Valverde, Isco, Carvajal, Militão, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo, Mendy, Courtois, Areola and Altube.

The match kick-off is at 9 pm, Nigeria time.
