Oshoala Scores Another Brace As Barcelona Defeat Huelva In The Queen’s Cup



Barcelona defeated Sporting Huelva 0-4 in the quarter-final of the Queen’s Cup thanks to 2 goals by Asisat Oshoala and goals by Jeni Hermoso and Caroline Graham Hansen. Barcelona dominated the game from beginning till the end and were rewarded with a place in the semi-final.
Barca had a lot of goal scoring chances to score early on, but they couldn’t break the deadlock. Asisat Oshoala came closest in the 22nd minute with a one on one chance, but the keeper saved the attempt.
Later, Jenni Hermoso also had a one on one encounter with the keeper, but the ball went to the right of the goal.
Asisat Oshoala finally broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute with a headed goal off a cross.
Jenni Hermoso doubled Barca’s lead 2 minutes into the second half with a great shot from her left foot.
Caroline Graham Hansen chipped the ball beautifully over the keeper to give Barca a 0-3 advantage in the 67th minute, before Oshoala sealed the victory for Barca with her second goal in the 70th minute.
(Another Nigeria, Peace Efih, was an unused substitute for Huelva).
Barca will face Huelva again on Sunday, but this time it’s in the Liga Iberdrola.
