Meet 23-Year-Old Terens Puhiri: The Fastest Player In World Football Right Now!!!

You probably haven't heard of Terens Puhiri, the 23-year-old winger who currently plays for Indonesian First Division side Borneo FC.

Standing at 5ft 5in, the highly rated player from Jayapura, Indonesia, isn't the biggest but his outrageous pace has to make him one of the quickest players in world football.

After watching this incredible goal against Mitra Kukar, you might just remember his name.

During the 4-0 win against Mitra Kukar last season, Puhiri showcased his lightning quick speed, tearing apart the opposition with a deadly counter attack.

Starting from around 30 metres, the 22-year-old covers a ridiculous amount of ground in the space of seconds.

Puhiri then shows a great amount of composure by knocking the ball past the onrushing goalkeeper, using his incredible pace to his advantage.

Seriously, how quick is this guy?!

On the topic of fast players, Erling Haaland had another incredible game on Tuesday night.

The Borussia Dortmund forward scored twice against PSG in the Champions League, and was clocked running 60 metres in just 6.64 seconds, a pace that would have put him in the World Indoor Championship 60m final in 2018.

Eighth placed runner Emre Zafer Barnes in the final of the race in Birmingham two years ago and Haaland's pace was only three tenths of the world record for the distance.

The world record is set at 6.34 and is held by Christian Coleman, who ran the time in 2018 in Albuquerque.

Is Terens Puhiri the fastest player in world football? Or can you think of someone else faster?
