"I Took Another Path" - Philippe Coutinho RULES Out Liverpool Return

Bayern Munich Star Philippe Coutinho has ruled out a return to Liverpool in the future, insisting he is on 'another journey'.

According to reports last Tuesday, Jurgen Klopp looked at the possibility of re-signing Coutinho before he joined Bayern Munich on loan last summer.

But despite a frustrating 18 months at Barcelona before his loan move to Germany, Coutinho has claimed he has no plan of going back to Merseyside.

'I can't look back. I went on another path, and now I am on another journey, like everyone else," He told Sports Illustrated.

'I'm fully focused on reaching my dreams. I'm happy with my achievements in the past, and now I can look forward.'

Barcelona paid Liverpool a stunning £145million for Coutinho in January 2018, but he failed to live up to expectations and was soon loaned out.

He was also forced to see his former club Liverpool knock Barca out of the Champions League on their way to winning the tournament in 2019.

However, the Brazil midfielder insists that he has only positive feelings towards his old club as they chase the Premier League title and European glory.

'Liverpool are flying, and it can't surprise me,' he added.

'We've already saw it last year when they won the Champions League, but I'm not surprised because of their manager and fantastic squad.

'I am very happy for them, because I have many friends there, ex team-mates, so I'm just very happy for them. But that's all.'
