Gayle King Speaks Following Backlash Over Reviving Alleged Rape Case Involving Kobe Bryant

American journalist Gayle King who seems to have revived alleged rape case involving the late NBA legend, Kobe Bryant has spoken following the incessant public backlash.

Barely two weeks after Kobe Bryant’s passing, Gayle King has discussed Kobe’s rape case with former WNBA icon Lisa Leslie who was close to him.

On her latest show on Thursday, Gayle King sort to know more about Kobe’s rape case from Lisa Leslie who offered her perspective.

Apparently, onliners have not been kind with her for bringing up perhaps the darkest moment of the basketball legend’s life.

However, Gayle King has blamed her network CBS for taking the matter out of contest.

According to her, CBS has caused this stir as they shared an excerpt of the video which doesn’t capture the whole point to its Instagram page.

‘I’ve been up reading the comments about the interview I did with Lisa Leslie about Kobe Bryant,” King said. “I know that if I had only seen the clip that you saw, I’d be extremely angry with me, too. I am mortified. I am embarrassed, and I am very angry.’

‘Unbeknownst to me, my network put up a clip of a very wide-ranging interview, totally taken out of context, and when you see it that way, it’s very jarring,” King continued. “It was jarring to me. I didn’t even know anything about it. … I really want people to understand what happened here, and how I’m feeling about it.’
