Tottenham Star Christian Eriksen Arrives Italy For Inter Milan Medical

Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen has arrived in Italy for his Inter Milan medical today. The Denmark international arrived from London this morning to undergo his medical examination at the Humanitas clinic in Milan.

Inter have been in talks with Tottenham for weeks over a transfer fee and the deal is now almost completed with personal terms already agreed.

Eriksen will now sign a contract until June 2024, worth around £6.5m per season including bonuses.

Inter Milan hoped to negotiate the fee down from Tottenham's asking price of £17.5m but their eargerness to complete the deal before Friday's deadline which means they had to agree to pay Spurs the full amount.

Eriksen's exit appeared confirmed when he travelled but was not part of the matchday squad for Spurs' 1-1 draw at Southampton on Saturday in the FA Cup game.

Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta revealed he’s optimistic the club will sign the Spurs ace before the transfer window closes.

“We won’t hide anything, you all know we’ve been in talks with Tottenham for some time,” Marotta told DAZN.

“His contract expires on June 30, so the only things we are discussing are for those six months.

“We are very optimistic and hope the transfer can be completed as soon as possible, especially before the transfer window closes on Friday.”

28-year-old Eriksen will now become Inter's third signing this transfer window from a Premier League club, as Coach Antonio Conte continues to strengthen his squad.
