Bruno Fernandes Agent Deletes Twitter Account After Manchester United Links




Bruno Fernandes’ agent has dropped amid reports his client is set to join Manchester United.



The Red Devils are closing in on a £60million deal for the Sporting Lisbon midfielder, who they tried to sign in the summer.


On Friday night, Sporting Lisbon officials are currently close to finalizing a deal for the 25-year-old to join United.


Those reports have sent Manchester United fans into meltdown and former player Red Devil Ferdinand also tweeted ‘Brunoooooooooooo’ along with emojis.


And Anxious United fans were quick to notice that Fernandes’ agent Rui Guimaraes liked Ferdinand’s tweet, which prompted more transfer speculations.


However, The Portuguese agent unliked the tweet and even suspended his Twitter account, which might be due to tweets from United fans.


Hours before Guimaraes’ Twitter account was suspended, Sporting director Silas suggested the club could lose Bruno Fernandes this January.



He said: “Bruno is a key player and players like him have a lot of interested clubs.


“I don’t like to think about such, but I’m already thinking of alternatives if Bruno leaves.


“I hope it won't happen, but we have to start thinking ahead.”


The imminent arrival of Fernandes at Old Trafford comes a few days after Portuguese Newspaper Record claimed Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer flew to Libson to watch the midfielder play against Porto last weekend.


Solskjaer did not confirm or deny the report, saying: “We are back with the speculations and we watch games all the time.


“Where I've been is not important, that's another player at a different club I can't talk about."


Fernandes, who brought offers from various Premier League clubs last season after he scored 32 goals and provided 18 assists.


Manchester United are back in action this afternoon and face relegation strugglers Norwich City at Old Trafford.
